Marke Bieschke chose the Mission Blue butterfly as the “mascot” of the 2017 Best of the Bay awards. We took this idea and ran with it, showing the little blue butterfly–well, HUGE blue butterfly in most of these header illustrations–visiting recognizable spots around the Bay Area.
